Market Matters, Inc. (MM, Inc.) is an independent, not-for-profit, international development organization.
Founded in 2002, MM, Inc. develops and implements economic development conferences, international study-missions, industry studies, and capacity-strengthening programs that put marketing principles, business strategies, and research findings into practice to foster economic development in emerging economies and low-income communities globally.
MM, Inc. works with small and medium-size enterprises (SMEs) in emerging markets in partnership with African and Asian institutions. Its Making Markets Matter (MMM) program has provided business management training to over 5,000 SME agribusiness owners and managers as well as representatives of the public sector who create an enabling environment for SME development. Program participants include individuals along agribusiness and food supply chains—commercial farmers, value-added food manufactures and managers of retail outlets. Our training programs were conducted in Cape Town, South Africa; Gaborone, Botswana; Bangkok, Thailand; Bali and Yogyakarta, Indonesia; Manila, Philippines; Phnom Penh, Cambodia and offered core business curricula delivered by diverse facilitators and guest speakers, field visits, and product expos.
